bov stands for blow off valve. it releases the pressure from the turbo. if you watch the fast and the furious and hear that whoosh sound when paul walker shifts, its the blow off valve working.

here is a link about turbos and the components of the kit:
http://www.beesandgoats.com/boostfaq/g2icturbo.html

also i would go with a supercharger like remmy said. they are more reliable and easier to install.

Could have sworn I read 03 automatic, ah, whatever.

Well in that case, have him post up with what he plans to do to this car. I'd also start telling your sister to hit the books, as SHE is going to be the one who needs to know what is going on under the hood. If your sis' boyfriend does this wrong (with an automatic it's just about guaranteed) she will be hearing the sound of her engine blowing itself to pieces, and then the sound of a lot of money leaving her bank account.

Honestly sounds to me like your sister is better off riding passenger seat to someone who knows what's going on than in the drivers seat being absolutely clueless.

Either that, or AAA Premium would be a good idea... 100 free towing miles.

you dont need alot of torque...its just it takes some torque but at the same time gives you more...there are alot of supercharged civics so you will be fine...someone correct me if necessary
