Damn, I might have to bring my happy *** up to Michigan.

Let me know if you want to come up man, you'll get free room & board.

That goes for anyone willing to come up and lend a hand, I have more than enough space at my house to accomodate a few people.

BTW, those kits are crap. Cybernation > GReddy > Richard Simmons > SSAutoChrome.

Full GReddy 19T setup for $1300 > All.
$1500 custom setup > greddy 19T kit for $1300
So would you say that:
a slightlyt used Edelbrock performer x turbo kit for $1200 shipped > $1500 custom setup
Because it is shipping out to me on monday
It really depends but the Edlebrock kit comes with a dual ball berring T28 I think and it would be very very hard to include a turbo of that quality and power abilities in a $1200 to $1500 custom kit. The only thing I myself do not like about "kits" is the lack of fuel management and other key features. For me to even put a pre made kit on my car I would have to spend $500 or so or maybe more on it before I would be ok with it but that is me. The setup I just sold to -40- was not setup to make as much power as it could, more so setup to be responsive with the least amount of lag as I could get. I was hitting full spool at 10psi around 2700rpm and pulling in the mid 170's on the whp. It also put me in the low 14's (so I had H22 power for $700 or so when in the end a H22 swap would have cost me around $3000)and I will say now what I have in it is $700 so I lost around $150 on the deal but it is cool.

The last setup I had was on a 94 eg hatch with a B18B. I was running a Ported EVO 16G and AEM EMS on it and the setup cost me in the end around $1800. I was laying down 215whp/200wtq at 7 to 8psi and 255whp/235wtq at 12psi with it but spool time was more around 4000 to 4200rpm. I was in the 12.8 to 13.1 1/4 mile range with it but it was more so aimed at peak numbers.

I have no doubt that for $2000 to $2200 I could put a kit together and murder any premade kit out there pound for pound. My next setup will do exactly this if I plan to go with F/I again as I plan on either a built B20 or a built H22. If I stray away from boost I plan on saving for about 6 months and buying me a 00 ITR and going all motor or maybe supercharging with a procharger. But like I said a edlebrock kit for $1200 is a hell of a deal and when I started out I wish I would have ran up on something like that but I am kinda glad I did not because I enjoy the tech aspect of the whole thing as much as I enjoy the actual ending results.

From what i know, EMS is a great engine management. However, its quite expensive.

t3/t4 is way too big unless your up above 12 psi anyways, way too much lag time

T3/T4 is to big for anything in the B series family IMO unless built, but I am more in to response time and no lag. That is why when I was boosted I went with the T25 on my JDM D15B because it was at full spool at near 2700rpm.
