if your wanting 400 hp sell that civic and get a different car, it would be a LOT of $$$$$$ to ge to 400, basically you'd have to rebuild the whole thing, plus you wouldnt want to drive it daily anyways.

Keep you block and buy a set of forged rods/pistons(8.5 or 9 to 1 compression ratio), get a set of turbo cams, peice a turbo kit together.

um...it will be cheaper than selling his car and buying a new one with 400hp on tap...

seriously, 600 for rods, 600 for pistons, 400 for cams, 1k for a turbo setup, you're looking at just over 2.5k

you have 160ish stock.

you're never gunna get all of that for 2k. a good stroker kit alone costs 2.5 at least.

carillo rods, crower pistons, skunk2 cams or GSR intake cam/ITR exhaust cam/self built turbo kit will put you around your 2k buget and you'll be hitting 400hp on a good tune

Just as a sie side question, do you think it would be cheaper/easier to get the GSR/ITR cams, or just a new set of something like Skunk2? I know the honda stuff can handle the horsepower, Im just considering price, and ease of finding.

depends on if you have access to a junkyard and can get the GSR/ITR cams on wholesale. but if you dont have access to a junkyard you could go with skunk (or toda or JUN if you can afford them)
