Default 7psi on FMU and 240's?

Lately Ive been playing with the wastegate actuator to increase the boost a bit. After the turbo install, I was running 5psi. The other day I overtightened the rod, and took the car for a quick test run, and over boosted to like 11psi, but caught it intime and let off the gas. Scared the **** out of me. Now have it set at around 5.5. Is it safe to run 7psi on an FMU and stock injectors daily? I've heard 7 should be the max.

I would say no way man... I maxed out 310 injectors at 7 psi. I run 450's now and they are at 90% duty cycle...

Berz out.

I was told that if I would of put 370cc on my car it would of maxxed out at 8 psi but that was for a b series so its a little different cuz of the power output. If i were you I would invest in some 370cc or 310.

hahaha these guys crack me up... im running stock 240's with an fmu on 7psi and when i hit full boost my aem wideband is reading around 11.1 which is really rich..... so you will be perfectly fine with and fmu as temporary use, just get some fuel management and some 310's and you should be good to go... make more power to... i bet the pull to 11 psi felt pretty goood?

I maxed out 310 injectors at 7 psi.
Then why are bolt on kits designed to be used with stock injectors? Pete's runnin 6 psi daily on stock 240's, an his boost peaks at 8 psi.

Yea, when I hit around 8 psi, my narrow band was showing that I was rich. The pull to 11 was kinda weird, I was watching the boost guage and the air fuel, soon as I seen that thing spike to 11 I let off the gas immedietly. Didnt have enough time to realize how how fast I was actually pulling.

I suppose your FMU is 11:1 or 12:1? Think about it. At 7psi your injectors will be pushing like 120psi of fuel pressure. Not good. My JR FMU was 5:1 and it was fine (according to the wideband) for 7psi, but that's still almost 80psi of fuel pressure.

I would rather have larger injectors and your adj. FPR than the FMU.

no dout about it thats why im getting injectors and a piggyback computer with a tune, im sick of black exsessive smoke coming out my exhaust when i hit boost, want that to go away and make more power at the same time with some other bolt on goodies as well......

It was telling me that I was rich when I hit 8 temporarily. If the injectors cant meet the demand, why am I not leaning out? I know those injectors are near maxing, but when I even peaked near 10 I was barely in stoich.

I forgot you guys were running D motors. Also just cuz its not running lean doenst mean your injectors are not working their asses off. If they fail and you run lean..... poof.

Berz out.
