Default 7lbs-10.5/11lbs

Hey guys, after blowing my t3/to4e .50/.63, I decided to get a replacement t3 .48. I was tuned on crome for 7lbs on the t3/t4, but I want to increase the boost to as high as it will go on the stock MAP when the t3 is in. Can I run on my original tune and just back off timing manually for a reliable 2-3 month fix before i get dyno tuned or a great street tune? The reason for this is I wanna save some cash to get bigger injectors, fuel pump, motor mounts, and a tune all at once, and I also need time to seek out somebody I feel comfortable with tuning my new motor.

So hold on just a sec. You already blew one turbo. Now you are getting a smaller turbo and turning up the boost to hope and have the same fuel trims and stuff to keep your tune. Tell me exactly how you came to the conclusion that that is a good idea. I'm guessing you know that a t3 is going to flow a lot less at the same psi as the t3/t4. But they also make boost at different times, flow different amounts of air at different times, etc, etc. So your tune is not going to work. Even the smallest factor can throw a tune off. Changing altitudes above sea level or humidity can affect the tune. So unless you're just trying to blow your motor and get a new, don't do it. Get the smaller turbo, stick to a conservative tune/low boost until you get it tuned. Or crank that bad boy up, push it hard, lean out and throw a piston through your block.
