Default 70 shot wet

ok i can't seem to get a straight answer anywhere so can someone help me out? What do i need to make 100% sure my car will be ok running a 70-75 shot wet kit? I know i need colder spark plugs. Where do i get a compression check done? How do i retard timing on a 7th gen civic?

Start with the lowest shot that the kit offers then work your way up to a 75 shot. You do the compression test yourself, go to advance or autozone and rent/buy a tester. Retard timing by either a stand alone management system or there might a piggy back you can use like from msd ignitions. If you are burning oil you can't use nitrous, it will detonate. To be honest though, I don't know if you can put a nitrous kit on a car with a returnless fuel line. You might have to make it a return style fuel system.

So the aemEMS will work yes? Yea u can run nitrous on the 7th gens. u just can't run dry kits very easily. Wet kits compensate for the returness fuel system i think.

yes aem ems will do it, but it seems very much over kill to spend a 1500-2000 EMS just to run a 70-75shot....

Well with a d17 you don't have much a choice if you want to tune. The way I see it is the only work you should put into a d17 is taking it out to put a k20 in.

it would be cheaper to buy something like a b18a1 and drop it in there... dropping that in there would run you less than 1500-2000 and you could shoot a bigger shot in it also.

To the best of my knowledge u can't do B swaps in 7th gen civics uless u do everything custom which would cost LOTS of money.

You can't put an engine into a car when the car is newer than the engine going into it so B,H, F,and older D seires are out.
