10lbs safe on stock internals?
I was just looking at the JR stage two upgrade and they dyno sheet said the civic (sohc) only had header, JR intake, and cat back with the stage two upgrade on ten lbs boost. Is this safe on the stock internals with maybe arp head studs or is this going to kill motor life quick?

i was just looking on the jackson racing site and the civic supercharger with just those mods to the car was running ten lbs on stock internals making around 200 hp and 160ft lbs of torque and i was just wandering if the stock motor was up to 10lbs of boost

oops i didn't mean to write turbo. Anyways a stock d-series engine could handle 200 whp safely. That's my goal when i get my turbo. At least get a decent tune. thats the last place you wanna go cheap if you're worried about longevity of your motor.

If you're going to push 10psi on a JRSC I'd looking into either meth injection or the LHT intercooler setup. Otherwise you'll need to put pistons in or you'll probably melt the block.
M45 at 10psi normally sees 250+ IAT temps, 300 even in the summer. Not a good thing.

^^^^^^ werd this is why i havnt bought a new pulley for my jrsc. until i have either water/meth injection or the lht intercooler set up i will stay at my current 5.5 psi. and either way you look at it, upgrades to the engine in forms of FI, nitrous, cams, compression etc will lead to more wear and tear regardless of the tune.
