Wannabe Civic hatchback owners
Hey all,
My son and I are interested in finding an early '90s hatch back in just about any condition for a project car.
Ben (Benjammin) is a junior in high school and I (CrashBob) am a retired aerospace engineer. We have an adequate garage and a decent tool collection as well as the skills to do something with them.
However, neither of us has had experience with Honda cars other than my wife's '08 Accord which gets serviced at the ''stealership''. So when we get something going, we're gonna need lots of advice from you guys.
Looking forward to our new experience,
CrashBob

Welcome to the forum! I have to admit I was expecting this to be a troll thread when I read the title.
Now when you say "early '90s" are you referring to the 4th generation ('88-'91) or the 5th generation ('92-'95)? Either way you go, the availability of parts is insane and the cars are fairly easy to work on as the engine bays tend to be pretty spacious.
So what exactly are you planning? We love to hear members' plans around here

Welcome to the forum. You'll find that they're really easy to work on.
When you pick the right car, download the factory service manual for it at hondatech.info: Honda service manuals. Documentation makes a lot of things easier.

Thanks for the welcome.
Plans..............well, I'm dealing with a 17 yr old who wants a finished 5th gen. (hey, learned something there) today and tomorrow will want to build his own. Either way, not much is gonna happen real soon as he is a lot short on cash.
Like everything, it's all about how bad you want it. I'm going to be logging in from time to time to see what I can learn.
