Yea i need help lol
ok, so this is my first civic, i had a 95 accord that i had for a while before this one...
my car is a 2000 Civic Value package i believe so i guess its like a DX.
so my problem is, i need new brakes.. but the noise im hearing i dont believe its from that cuz there is still some meat left.. its a grinding/humming noise maybe even a whistling kinda.. when i just tap the brakes it makes the noise, if i let go and push again it goes away then comes back after a few seconds or even a few more tries. i was told maybe the bearing is loose or needs to be replaced.. im hoping it might just be the brakes cuz i remember replacing a bearing on the accord and it was pricey lol. also i believe all 4 struts recently went out on me lol so if that has any affects. but it does sound like a grinding, just to me not a brake grinding
so if you can help me out it would be greatly appreciated, this civic site is pretty nice reminds me of the accord site i was at lol.. thank god for these forums cuz they helped a lot in the past
ps its at 124,000 Miles... Automatic

Jack the car up and put a jack stand under it. Try moving the tire around. If it has a lot of play in it the wheel bearing is bad.
Pull the tire and caliper off. Check for grooves, glazing and uneven wear on the pads and rotors.
