Default Wrong exhaust? '04 DX

Hey everybody.

So I have a 2004 Civic DX (2-door) 1.7 L. I just purchased this exhaust: http://www.tanabe-usa.com/touringmedalion.asp?id=7

Model # T70048

However, there seem to be some issues. It's shorter than the OEM exhaust by about a foot, and one of the connections has 3 points, whereas all of the connections on the OEM have 2. Have I just blown 700 bucks on a system that won't fit my car?

Did you see the note icon next to the DX model in the list? It says:

NOTE: NEED EXTENSION ADAPTER PIPE.

....Of course it does. No, I did not.

Thank you. I can NOT believe how I did not notice that, and now I feel foolish.

Unfortunately the extension is another $130. The tech support at RaceInspired.com (dealer I ordered the system from) suggested taking it to a muffler shop and having them extend the cat pipe.

This still leaves the issue of the cat pipe having two bolts in the flange and the exhaust pipe having 3, unless of course they can correct that as well?

I'm also going to have a hard time getting the car to a shop, since it's currently without an exhaust system. I could buy some more bolts (some broke) and put it back on, I suppose. I'm considering just getting the extension to make sure the whole system is the larger bore, mandrel-bent, and all. Otherwise I'm going to have some piping that's narrower than the rest.

im pretty sure you can buy any test pipe(thats for an ex/si of your gen) and it will fit right in the gap and be 2holes on one end and three on the other

ive never had to do this but have heard of it so you might wanna wait until someone confirms it
