Would a new radiator . . .
help the coolant loss? i talked to my mech and he said that since we did the swap i should also upgrade to a bigger radiator. one from a 99-00 SI or an aluminum one.my question is , will the stock fan work on an aluminum radiator ,or do i have to buy another fan ?

the way i see it if your driving around on a hot day & you temp gauge is normal (needle staying in the middle ) it should be running cool enough & i dont see any reason to put a bigger one in , but if it is running a little hotter you may want to upgrade

it doesnt run hotter than its supposed to be. its just that it makes the coolant dissapear to the point where i have to refill the bottle like every 2 days or so. i've been trying to figure out whats going on but i just cant get an answer and its driving me nuts.
i doubt it'll be a leaky head gasket because the engine has around 35,XXX miles on it.

If your radiator is the cause of the coolant loss, then yes, a new one will alleviate the issue. As for will an aluminum on bolt to the fan... ...you are are getting the same size, but the only difference is that it's aluminum, then it should, make sure to read the description before you buy it. Now for larger aluminum rads, I don't know if the same fan with bolt up, you can always make it work.
I don't feel that the upgrade to the 99-00 rad is necessary, but getting an aluminum one will definitely help out!!.
