wont start when cold
i have a 91 hatch that wont start when its cold. what i have to do is turn the key on then off several time to choke the car basically. the motor was swapped out beginning of the year with a newer motor out of a 93 civic. when done a new temp sensor and thermostat were put in. i am getting a temp code from the computer. i though maybe wires were crossed repined the connector no fix. any idea as to what else it could be?

IAT or ECT code? Did you replace the right sensor? The ECT is the one below the distributor with two wires. If you still get sensor codes check the wiring (unplug ECU and measure sensor resistance at the ECU plug, should be the same as at the sensor). I think the plug for the IAT is close enough to something else (IACV?) to plug it in wrong.
