I have a 92 civic with a built b18c and it idles at 2000rpm and when you give it gas at all it bounces from 2000rpm to and not above 2500rpm. Ecu codes are 7 for tps and 14 for eacv. Any ideas anyone. Thanks

 

whats your engine management?

 

It has msd ign. and coil.

 

Did it just start doing this or did you just install the motor?

 

About two weeks ago the idle was high so I tried to fix that and couldn't without buyin parts so I quit and drove it on the hiway. It was fine, pulled hard and then I let off and floored it again and thats when it started.

 

I would say it could just be the throttle cable, but that doesn't explain the trouble codes. But check it anyway.

 

No when I floor it from under the hood on the tb it still does it

 

on a stock p72 ECU?

 

Its a chiped ex civic ecu

 

and test the idle air control valve too.
