another thing that ronj helped me with you can try is take the distributor cap off, remove the ignition coil then the rotor, disconnect the Ignition Control Module then take it to autozone to have it tested. mine tested bad and it affected my car by having it start good, then gradually rougher to the point it failed to fire and died. let the icm cool down then itd repeat the process. those fugging little buggers are expensive too
