Thanks folks. The customer has contacted his motor provider and expects a replacement any day now.
Thank you for the info about swapping heads. However that would cost more than getting the correct engine and it would void the warranty from the engine provider. Its nice to know there ARE options, thank you for that.

On a side note, I contacted a pal of a pal that works for the local Honda dealer. He said that the valve somewhat controls shift points and ing timing above 4000 rpm. Not solely, but does contribute. This customer would rarely see engine speeds like that so it probly would have never come to nothing more than a light on the dash. Does that sound correct? Is he pulling my leg?

I am not comfortable with having an engine swap leave here with lights.
