What's this?
Ok, the other day i was behind my friend's lifted chevy tahoe... we were at a red light slowly coasting through(since it was green) and i got up in my seat to see through his window to see if it was infact green... we were all on our brakes at the time. Then someone in the straight lane decided they need to go left. Everyone came to a stop and by the time i reallized that they actually stopped opposed to just braking i started to slide. I slid right into the hitch. There wasn't THAT much damage, mainly just this one bar that attatches the grill, the lights, and also has the hood latch thing... i don't know what its called so i was wondering if anyone elses knew. Hopefully i can find it at a junk yard instead buying a new one!!!!
Here's the pics i took with my phone
Thanks for the help!!!!

Upper radiator support. Also I bet it's welded in so you'd have to weld the replacement on.
Looks like it could be carefully pulled out using for example a Tahoe with a hitch and a piece of chain, then hammer it reasonably straight. Disconnect the battery before using such force on your car to make absolutely sure the air bags don't go off.

Yup, the core support, the lower part is bent on mine now and had to replace the one in my old car... not fun. Make sure you line it up just right to your frame rails or your hood will be all outta wack, cuz your hood latch wont be straight. yeah, drill out the welds... tack some new ones. best way. good luck

RE: What's this?
no, you need a new upper radiator support frame welded in it's place. you need to check the lower mounts of your head lights as well since they tend to break the headlight housing. plus, bending it back will make it difficult to correctly adjust the hood latch. p.s. you might want to check for radiator damage that may cause you a problem down the road.
