Default Weatherstripping Help

I noticed on my 87 Honda Civic Hatchback after a hard rain that some water had come through in the back because it was wet on the right corner . I noticed on the top right corner, the weatherstripping is bent downward and in, not so on the other corner. Is there a way I can repair this or must I replace the whole weatherstripping in the back. I tried to take a picture so you can notice it.

In my humble opinion...I would attempt to silicone it back to where it needs to be. If that does not work then I'd say replace it. From the looks in the picture, on the hatch (above where the weather stripping is hanging) it looks as if somebody has tried to fix the problem with silicone already. HOWEVER it appears to me they put it in the wrong place. Put the silicone behind the stripping and press it back into place... OH BTW if that is silicone on the Hatch...It'll have to come off or it will keep pressing the stripping out of place! Good Luck!

Thanks, yea, the weatherstripping has not come loose from the car frame rather it is just pressed down at that one corner. I don't know what happened to make it do that but it must not meet to make a tight fit when the hatch is closed. That silicone on the hatch was my lame attempt to try to temporarily cover that spot where the water came through. I have since cleaned that off. But I can't understand what would make that weatherstripping stay pressed down at that corner, unless it's just plain worn from age.

Yea I was gonna suggest that wonderful little tube of stuff...but it's kinda hard to get off the paint... I'm not sure you can replace duct-tape though!!! LOL
Blippo it sounds like that stripping is shot. It it is round and hollow then I have one more idea.
When I replaced the seals on my wrangler doors, they were not exactly "poofy" enough to fit tightly. SO I got a spray bottle of some soapy water (more soap than water), and some fish tank air tubing from wal-mart. I slit the weatherstripping and slid the tubing in ALL the way around the door frame and sealed up the slit with a lil silicone. Now my door seals great and does not leak anymore,,,actually the wind don't whistle through the cracks anymore either!
