Default Want to disable Daytime driving lights. HOW?

ok so i bought this 96civic DX canadian with daytime driving lights and well i hate the looks of it... is there any way to quickly disable it besides just cuting the high beam wire.
im in america and of course dont need it.

i know my old chevy truck had driving lights and it was just a simple prong on one relay that i bent over which disabled the driving lights with no problems. worked great.
but how do i do this on a 96civic?
PLEASE SOMEONE HAS TO KNOW!!!!

I am not absolutely sure about this but, based on the circuit diagram, I think you may have success by simply disconnecting the connector to the daytime running lights resistor (see diagrams below).

Or unplug the control unit, or take fuses 18 and/or 20 out (assuming they don't also power something else). It has been shown that it's considerably safer to have DRLs on. A couple of times I've had close calls because apparently the guy just didn't see me in broad daylight.

If this is done, the function of the brake fluid and parking brake lights will be lost, if I am reading the circuit diagram correctly.

Just pull the fuse. the DRL fuse doesn't power anything else

On my mom's suburban, to turn her DRLs off, it was one click on the E-brake. Try an online manual. There has to be an easier way to do it.

ok guess ill just try unpluging the fuse and seeing what that controls.
i was gonna work on my car today but been helping my dad pull some cars out of the shop so we could have more room and get the motor home finaly pulled inside out of the sun so ive been busy all morning. and now im fiddling with my dads remote starter system. it blew a fuse for the remote start feature and as soon as i replace it and activate the remote starter the fuse gets warm/hot very fast so its definatly gonna blow it if i left it. unfortunatly my mom thinks that the alarm is bad fully because the parking lights started to flash last night with no one around the car. so im thinking the brain might be bad as well so ill have to buy a whole new system and swap them out
sucks its worked fine for ruffly 2 years now, so looks lik e my parents wont have a remote starter for about a week.

Trust me man, the fuse will not effect anything else, i pulled it in my hatch when i did my retro to prevent the HIDs from being on all the time.

o i believe ya... plus this car is a DX.LOL not much to power.
ill do that tonight and see if she does work. geting ready to go to the show now.

i know DRLs can be safer BUT they are just so ugly.LOL plus i dont want to see that BLUE INDICATOR in the cluster during the day!
i just want to disable the whole thing! no need for it for me. if someone else hits me O WELL they better have insurance! if not i know i do and they better pay up! and im still gonna keep the 5speed parts off the car.LOL
