My '01 civic ex coupe is throwing code p1259/vtec system failure and p1298 electrical load detector. I have had the vtec switch replaced but didn't help. Car "jerks" during fast acceleration. Was told that the switch was not locking the solenoids together?! Now saying I need to replace the solenoid valve and a computer. Any clues to what else it might be? Don't want to spend $800 for new valves and computer board.
