vtec not working?
#2
did you check your v-tak fluid? j.k. Do you have a check engine light? Low oil pressure/level, and failed vtec solenoid would be the 2 most common culprits. Another would be no speed signal going to the ECU, but I believe that would trigger a check engine light.

if you have a cel the ecu goes into limp mode and will not engage vtec, also if you want to be positive vtec is kicking in you can wire a 12v light to the green wire going into the vtec solnoid, so when vtec is engaged the light will light up

Make sure that your CEL has not been disabled. It should come on if you turn the key on but don't start the engine. The VTEC system will check itself ever time it engages. When you can wind the engine up over 6000 and the CEL doesn't come on you can assume it is working.
