Default VIBRATION IN THE CAR

How can I stop the vibration in my 1992 civic. What causes it? It started doing it after the compressor was installed. It use to not vibrate with the a/c on and when I stop I could not tell that the car was still on, pure quiet. Now it's vibrates lightly and once I accelerate it stops. only vibrates on the brake and harder with the a/c on. Please help!

if it ONLY vibrates when you are stopping, it is porbably a brake probelm, possibly warped rotors... what else can you tell us about the problem?

do you have a tach? If you do you might check out and see if it drops when you hear the vibration, if you car is lowered you might have a loose bumper or something that got knocked loosed (heck even if it's not lowered). My 98 had a similar buzzing vibration sound and it turned out to be my back bumper, i took it off and tightened it up, good as new! hope that helps...

Doesn't sound like a rotor problem if it vibrates in park. Can you give us any more info?

im thinking its a bad motor mount. its tranfering back more vibration than it should. its just a resonance of the engine coming back to you.

If you're just sitting there idling with the a/c on, and it vibrates, the turn of the a/c and see if the vibrating stops. Then turn it back on again and the vibrating will start back up. I have this exact problem on my civic, but I always drive with the windows down and never have the a/c on so I just leave it.
