Default Very High Idle

Hey guys,
This weekend was basically test time for me.
I had experinced bubbling and backfiring after I had my car timed and what not. The mechanic who did it, said that I must clean my TB and make sure that no holes were covered, because this may be causing the bubbling and backfiring. So I took it down and what do ya know, holes were covered. So I put on a new gasket and cleaned it up and now when I start the car she idles at 2000. I removed the connector from the MAP sensor and she drops idle but not that much. What could be the prob?

either a sensor isnt plugged up or a vacum leak.
have you check your throttle cable and make sure the flap inside the tb is closed all the way.
