Default Turn Signals

I do not know why my right turn signal all of a sudden flashes faster than my right signal? It just happened today

it means one of your rear lights on the right side is out. can't remember if its the turn signal or the brake light, but i think it means the turn signal is out

Yeah. One of your lights is most likely out.

that is actually the only reason why it blinks...(when a turn signal is out) not nessisarly the rear though ( it dont think, ive seen it happen on the front) do a light check, and replace the bulb thats burnt out...

Since we have had a lot of rain in this area, it is possible some water got into the light or wiring. The most likely culprit is the light though.

The reason the light blinks so fast is because when bulb is either out or remove from the series there is less resistance going through the electrical loop. Without the bulb's resistance, the flow of electricity speeds us, producing a fast blinker.

If you know anyone that has a truck and uses a trailer with lights on it, ask them to see their blinkers without the trailer lights attached and with the lights attached. Without the trailer, the lights will blink like normal. With the trailer lights, since more lights are added to the series producing more resistance, the blinker will blink slower. That is, if they don't have flasher (the device that regulates the blinking) that adjusts for the added lights.

Alright, here's how to check the bulbs quick and easy. To check the bulbs yourself, turn on the left blinker. Get out a look at the front and back. Are they lighting up? Same thing with the other side. Once you locate the bad bulb, go to the nearestauto parts store. Near the replacement bulbs there will be a digital device to find the right bulb or a book with years and models. Or, you can just ask a sales associate (clerk) which is the correct bulb. Buy it. Go home and replace it. For the front bulb, open the hood and pull the bulb. For the rear bulb, open the trunk and pull the bulb. Super d duper!!

once you pull out your indicator lights there will be a number on them, then just go to the store and get that bulb. if you don't know which one is burnt out by both they are dirt cheap.
