Default Trouble starting

Ihave a '95 Civic DX with an auto tranny, I have been having this problem for a while but it seems to be getting worse.
Everytime I try starting it all I get is a "click" turn the key again "click" "click" "click" "click". All I get is one click everythime I turn the key. Until eventually after 10-15 times it will catch and start right up. Once it is running I have no problems. I know it is not fuel or battery related, it has to be an ignition or starter problem. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advise is appericated.

Thanks,
matt

find the starter solenoid then put a screwdriver between the two contacts, if it starts right up, time for a new starter solenoid, try check out some of the other threads, theres quite a few about cars not starting, not sure if none cover your problem though

Make sure the battery connections are good. Turn on the headlights next time you try to start it. If the lights stay on but all you get is a click from the starter, proceed to the next paragraph...

Your starter is almost worn out. It will soon get worse until it doesn't start at all. The problem is the contacts in the solenoid part, that's how most of them fail. Rather than tinker with that, most people just replace the whole starter with a remanufactured one.

its your brass contact points inside the starter beneith the plung, if you tap on the starter with a screw driver while trying to start i bet it would start. try fixing the contacts inside the startyer if you cant afoord a new starter
