Default Trans Leak

I have 2 problems with my car....

1) It's an automatic
2) The trans fluid is leaking

My car started missing shifts ( like dropping into neutral between shifts) and had really horrible torque in the mornings when it was cold. So i check the trans fluid and its low, so I go and buy some fluid and i raise my car up to get under to change the fluid and i notice the red trans fluid along the bottom of the trans, and along the seal is remarkably clean haha. So I'm guessing that my trans seal is leaking. Are there any sort of sealants i can add to the trans fluid to try and plug it up or am I going to have to have the trans seal replaced? I dont have the money for that at all right now, nor the time since I need my car everyday.

Some companies make fluid that has peraffin wax in it to help seal.

Default RE: Trans Leak

just try and find the leaking spot....
when i got my civic the trany was low and leaking going towards the rear..... and well after checken the fluid with the dip stick i notice HOW LOOSE the dip stick was..... aparently the seal onit shrank and was leaking fluid right around it out the top.....
a new dip stick from honda solved the problem and still sealed

it could easily be comen from just something loose.. if its a manual check the fill and drain plugs and any other lines on the tranny... hopefully its just a loosened conection that has either came loose or maybe needs to be removed and put alittle thread sealer stuff on it and tighten it back down...

but like always hardest part is finding the leaky spot!
but since ya said its a auto... check the dip stick first... if its loose just replace it with a new one from honda..
