Default Top out at 120mph

Is there any reason why my SiR2 tops out at 120mph or 7000rpm in 5th gear even though it hits the 8400 power peak in every other gear? And also is there any way around this as i have no idea if it is a fuel limiter or an electrical rpm limiter.
Help please,lol.
Andy

seriously? why not just stand on top of a building and drop bricks, you'll have a better chance killing people that way

I think you will findon this forumthat the administration lets you talk all day about all the mods that will make you go faster, mods to let you corner faster, mods to get you off the line faster, but it is a no-no to actually say how fast you actually can go. Go figure........

To answer your question, it probably has a built in speed limiter, many Civics do.

We do not, and will not condone illegal activity on public roads, all these mods we put on, are used for track purposes. whether it be drag, autox or track... go figure

I'm not saying that no one speeds, but doing 120mph on a public road, you may as well play Russian roulette with random strangers..

To all these people who are moaning 'oh go drop bricks' do you really think i'm stupid enough to do speeds like that on a public road? Yes i'm young, yes i have a fast car but also yes my family has a fair bit of private land and enough cash to go on track days. Why presume speeds like this are done on public roads? I'm not retarded and there are too many cameras in my area to even consider breaking the limit.

By the way if anyone can point out to me just where in my original post i mention or even hint where this speed was achieved then i will happily never post here again, but i'm almost definate i didn't say anything along those lines.
Rant over just will people stop being presumptious.

You must have one long *** straight if you're hitting 120mph on a track

how long a straight to test the stock cars (not the type you guys call stock cars though) we build? long enough to top a b16a out so long enough about 1.5mile.
So please don't even think i'd attempt that on a freeway,i don't want to kill myself or others. I've already lost one of my best mates to road speeding and i never intend to be next.
Now i'm not saying i've never sped but i am saying that i've matured enough to know that there is a time and a place to go fast and the public highway is not one of them.

Ok as long as your a mature person when it comes to speed, the reason i acted the way i did originally is cause most of these threads go like this "my car topped out at 115mph on the highway on my way home, how can i go faster?"

I bought all new suspension components so I can make turns faster in case the cops want to go after me after topping out.
