Default timing belt

I just got done rebuilding my first motor which is a d16z6 and I was wondering how I can tell if I put my timing belt on right. I've heard that you can't be one tooth off or it will cause problems. Anyone know the procedure on this. I need to find out before I start it up in 2 days.
