Default Throwout bearing?

I have heard a noise that sounds like the throwout bearing noise. It only happenes when I really get on it in 1st gear. once I shift it stops. The weird thing is it sounds like its from the driver side. I'll have to have someone ride with me and see what they think.

My question is if it is the bearing is it important to get it fixed? The clutch feels like theres alot of life there still. I just bought the car a few days ago and the guy said it has a new clutch but Im starting to wonder.

Thanks.

It's possible that the throwout bearing wasn't replaced along with the new clutch. It is an important part of the clutch yes. But I would get that confirmed first befor going about replaceing it. What does the noise sound like?

Its kinda a whiny noise. It comes on at about 4500 rpm and slowly gets louder and it sounds like it spins up with the engine.

A throwout bearing problem would be present in all gears, and only when you push the clutch in. It is most likely an internal bearing.
