hey guys i need to kno if when i install my header with a test pipe and exhaust will my check engine light light up.. becuase i had a cai and test pipe/exhaust on my type s and my light turned on and the car never ran the same

forgot to mention will be installing on my 00si if it makes any diff...because the previous owner had a header that was not made for this car on it so i have a huge exhaust leak...so i want to buy a new header/testpipe/exhaust

If there is an oxygen sensor after where the converter would normally be, you have to have a working cat or the ECU will get upset. If it's set up for only one sensor next to the engine then it doesn't matter what happens after the sensor.

yup im pretty sure it has another on on the cat...my friend with a 05 type s has had a test pipe for a while now and every time hias light comes on he just resets his ecu anf boom light is gone...i tried it on my type s and it stayed there my 02sensor was blown...why is he able 2 just reset it

I suppose it never occurred to you to put a real converter on it so I don't have to breathe your pollution...

no it didnt... i heard ramdon technology makes some type of converter thats similar to a test pipe but doesn't polute..
