Default swapping cluster or maybe adding parts?

The cluster that I have currently looks like this http://i18.ebayimg.com/03/i/08/6a/e7/10_1_b.JPG . ok, it looks like the image isnt working anymore....but basically it has 2 big circles in the middle, with 2 small circles on each side. It doesnt have an rpm one, just the mph on 1 side and then the gas on the other I think. I have 2004 dx civic btw.

Well I want a cluster that has an RPM. What should I do, I am pretty much a newbie to cars but is it possible to just get different wheels(?) and swap them around?

Or would it be better just to buy a used cluster off ebay or something?

I like the cluster in here https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_433337/tm.htm (I am going to do this mod!! it looks awesome)

this cluster looks fine as well http://i8.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/c5/72/0816_1.JPG I think these are on the ex models?

What should I do thanks? Also, if I buy the clusters used, wont they display different miles than what it should be on my car? Is there a way to change it to what it should be?

Thanks a bunch!

ya not sure about newer civic clusters... only way to find out is to open them up.... not for the faint of heart to do

but ya if the speedometers dont match they will most likely be different milage.... im not sure if its digital milage or typical turn dials. but if you want it to match you can always take it to your local honda dealership and have them compensate i think the milage....

yeah that sounds like a good idea on taking it to a car shop lol so they can change it if it is manual lol.

how did you get such a good deal on your cluster? I think you said you got it for like $25? where did u buy it from?

Ok, forget what I said about like swapping parts or whatever. I am just going to buy a cluster lol.

Will only 2001-2005 clusters work since my car is a 2004? I would assume so but I am just asking to make sure.

If that is true, will all 2001-2005 clusters work in my 2004 dx sdn?

Here are 2 cluters that I found. the first says it is a 01 02 lx sdn cluster. This is the one that looks like mine with the 4 circles.

and this one, which i believe is found on the ex editions. This one says it is 03 04 05 Civic EX cluster. This one features 3 circles instead of the older ones which are 4.

Will both of these fit inside my 04 civic? It looks like it should because it has the same frame installation, just different insides. Or will only the first one work since it has the 4 circles? Thanks!
