Default stumped for days, idling problem

ok, i replaced the iacv, adjusted the throttle screw, even the tps sensor position. the car is idling around 1700 rpms. also noticed when i pump the brakes a few times in neutral the rpms go up is that normal? my setup is 97'civic ex 5-speed(d16y8) w/edelbrock turbo kit. been working on dropping my idle for a few weeks and nothings working, and i got a skunk2 68mm throttle body on it. im stumped, need some new info.

When the CEL is not ON and not indicating code P0505, then the 96-98 Civic service manual recommends troubleshooting of several different circuits (see picture).

Have you replaced the PCV Valce lately? I had an idle problem where it wasn't idling right at all and sometimes it would not want to start. I swapped out the PCV Valve and my car is running like a champ now. Hope this helps.

This is crucial new information as the P0117 CEL code possibly indicates the cause of your high idle problem. In this regard, the ECU uses temperature signals sent by the ECT sensor to control the amount of fuel injected (picture #1). Picture #2 describes how to troubleshoot the ECT sensor if you have a scan tool with this function. Otherwise, you might just try replacing the sensor, which is located below the distributor (see picture #3 in my next post).
