Stuck oil drain bolt

Stuck oil drain bolt
Last month I bought an '02 LX, and today I tried changing the oil myself for the first time. The only problem is, the drain bolt on the oil pan is stuck. This being my first oil change attempt, I'm not sure how tight I should expect the bolt to be, but this thing is really stuck. It looks like I'm going to have to just suck it up and force it, I appreciate any input!

RE: Stuck oil drain bolt
make sure ur turning it the right way(counter clockwise). may seem dumb but it happens to me sometimes and i feel so stupid once i figure out i was turning it the wrong way lol. also make sure u use a good socket or box end wrench so u dont strip the bolt.

I can't remember if I used a breaker bar or a normal ratchet but I still had toturn it as hard as I can to break it loose.(I weigh 117lbs, so yea I'm not that strong though) Just put some muscle into it and make sure you are turning it the right way.

For those of you who'd like to not run into this situation, and really speed up the oil changes, I highly suggest investing $25 bucks in a "Fumoto Valve." My WRX has one, and its basically the ****
