Default Sputtering/Lag/Hesitation/Weird backfire type noise when pedal is pinned...

okay now I did see another thread about this but nobody responded to it so im guna start one im new here...my car wen started is fine, runs pretty good. but after about 5minutes of driving the car gets warm and the heat gauge goes up naturally lol..anyway, once it gets warm the car gets laggy, and sputters randomly wen accelerating, especially at low RPM's and take-offs. The cars been doin this for about a month and iv had it for about 2. I'm not quite sure wat the problem is, iv asked alota ppl and searched on multiple sites for some help, but havnt found anything really. Iv been told it cud be a vacuum leak, or a clogged/bad cat converter. Any ideas or assistance wud be greatly appreciated.

Do not start new threads. Bump up your old thread. It sounds like you have weak sparks, often due to bad wires, maybe the cap or rotor -- if your Civic is before 2001 where they had such parts (2001 and later is distributorless). Rule #2 is to post at least the model year of your car when asking questions.

Hey, sounds like my problem. Although I.still havent figured it out. Ive added new plugs and wires, threw fuel and injector cleaner in it. Put new injectors in. still nothing. Right now im thinking its something in my ignition. Distributor maybe. I‘ll let you know if I find out how to fix it.

Your car is misfiring. It's not the converter. Melted converter makes it slow, but it will still run smooth.
