after driving my civic and then turning it off and letting it sit from 1/2 hour to a few hours and then starting it again, putting it in gear and taking off the engine acts like it wants to die, so i let off the gas and get back on it and its fine. it does not do this when it has not been driven for more than a few hours.i use premium gas and just did a tune-up:ngk plugs and wires, crane cap and external coil, fram fuel filter.

Did you gap the plugs right? If you have one that is off, at first it will sputter until it is hot, then it would be fine for a while. Check that.

Have you double checked all of the connections from the plug wires. I.e. the connecting to the disty and to the plug itself. Give them all a little push just in case there is something a little loose. I really think that the problem is somewhere in the electrical system, that is somewhere from the disty to the spark plug. Maybe just a defective part. Don't know. Check those connections though.
