actually a couple popped up for under 100. one was $50 in perfect condition, seller had 100% feedback... other one is about $75 and is missing the bulbs in the back of the cluster. i really want to try for the $50 one but i should PROBABLY find out if the cluster is indeed what is the problem eh? lol

LOL, yeah. Like is said earlier, if the speedometer is jumping but the odometer is still truckin' along like nothing's wrong, then your gauge is F-ed. Really, if you could find somewhere online just the stock center speedo gauge, that would work too.
Oh, a since you aren't getting a CEL, I feel that your sensor itself is functioning.

actually i fogot to mention that. the sensor JUST kicked on yesterday morning. the TPS on my throttle body is bad too, so i dont know if its from the speedo or the tps gone bad. only place around here that i know of to run a diagnosys is honda and i dont feel like gettin *** raped quiet yet.

You don't have a Autozone, Advanced Auto, or NAPA by you!?
Well, do you have any friends with the same car as you? You could swap parts it check, that is, if they are cool with it.
Otherwise, replace your TPS and attempt to clear the CEL. If the CEL doesn't come back after fixing the TPS, providing nothing else is broken, then it's the stupid gauge.
