Default some smell when turning AC on or off

Has anyone experience a slighly foul, actually not foul but a chemical smelling odor when you switch your AC on or off. When it is off there is no smell but regular air, when you turn on the AC, during the period when it cools, there is the smell, but when it reaches its peak there is no smell, what is this?

but if it is a dead mouse then the air should come out foul constantly isn't it?it only comes out foul when cooling orgoing back to room temp.how can i access this vent for the air? the dealer technicians say it might be an AC filter that needs replacement.

i tested using both fresh and recycle. both gives out a not so foul but a chemical like smell, i can't describe it. and only when it cools up or warms back to normal temp (AC on and off). this is weird.

Is it musky? Hit recycle and spray some antimicrobial febreze in there

shoot, could be something real serious...keep it off for a while until you figure out the problem.
