Default sitting car

I have a car that needs some work done to it befor it's ready for the road. It's been sitting for awhile and prolly will be sitting longer not being driven. If a car sits for awhile like this one is are there some sort of preperations you should do to it so that it doesn't deteriorate? I try to start it and have it idle for atleast ten minutes each week to keep everything lubed up within the engine any other necessary things to do?

Yea... the problem with it though is that it leaks gas, dunno exactly where, and the breaks don't work well (even after adding break fluid and bleeding the breaks several times). So that and it not being registered I can't really drive it further than the driveway. It's a 92 accord btw.

I think I might get a car cover for it so thatrain and stuffwont make it rust any worse on the rear panels.

well if it leaks gas and you cant see any gas leaking spots id say check above inside the car where the gas tank is.... most likely someone has put a amplifier around thier and used screws that were to long and puntured the top of the gas tank... which can leak when driving or just evaporate over time....

and just move it afew feet forwards and backwards... just something to move the gears and wheels to keep them freed up.
