Sir2 head on a 98 b16b
Long story short. A while ago i bought an 94, 95ish jdmb16. got all the head work done (valves, springs, retainers, cams etc) I looked up the parts again and i realize that i can fit all the parts interchangabley between the two different heads (b16a and b16b).my question is, whats the difference between the sir2 head and the 98 b16b head? are they pretty much the same thing?? will the head from the A fit on the B just fine so i can save myself the time and money of having everything switched out?? will i loose any hp from doing so??

They'll both fit, and they're more or less the same head. The difference is an upgraded valvetrain in the B16B head with wilder cams, but if the head is fully worked with cams/springs/retainers yada yada then it doesn't really matter. It's a straight swap.

RE: Sir2 head on a 98 b16b
sweet, thats what i wanted to hear. i did so much work to the other head and i didnt wanna have to repeat it on the new one. i gotta nother question. the motor is comming with an uncut harness (99 b16b). i was wondering what the difference is in usdm and jdm harnesses. I heard that its just set up so that the battery is on this other side. anything else different? and im dropping this into a 98 civic cx (canada version). how hard would it be for me to just use the stock harness? i heard one time (who knows where or when) but if you get a civic cx that was assembled in cananada, that its already good to go on the vtec wiring? true, untrue?? thanks again guys
