Default Shifter play

I have a 1999 civic cx with 66,000 klms and the shifter has alot of side to side play.Shifting from 1-2 does not line up........I have to hold it to the left. Some times it is difficult to find reverse.Had the bushing at the bottom of the shift lever replaced and the stabilizer bar bushing close to the transmission replaced.Problem still exists.Transmission shifts and sounds fine.Would the pin that connects the shift rod to the transmission input shift shaft be worn?

Try tightening up the shift lever bolt itself some more. In the diagram its number 21/24. That usually gets rid of any sloppiness. If you tighten it to much, then the shifter will become too tight and shifting will be hard.

I think that will only make it stiffer but not deal with the side to side play.
