Running rough
New to the forum. I have a 1993 civic ex, did the head gasket, timing belt, full tune up. It was runnig good for a month and then would die at warm idle. Checked and cleaned the IACV and pvc and don't seem to have a vacume leaks. I played with the idle adjustment and I have it so it won't die. Still idles rough and seems to be running rich. New O2 was put in with the tuneup and the cel is not on. Any ideas on where to go from here?

Make sure the CEL works, it should come on as a bulb test when you turn the key on but don't start. Someone may have removed the bulb.
Double check the timing, belt may have skipped if not properly tensioned.
While idling, disconnect the fuel injectors one at a time to see if it's a single dead cylinder, or general malaise. When you disconnect a good cylinder, it will slow down and get worse. Disconnecting a dead cylinder does nothing.
Adjusting the valves too tight will cause a rough idle. Recheck the valve clearance. Engine should be cold when adjusting. They get tighter as the engine warms.

Cel works and is not on. Timed it correctly both mech and ignition, infact the car passed NJ emissions test after the head gasket and timing belt was replaced. Engine was running great for a month and then this stalling at idle problem started. TPS?
