removing a d16z6/y8
I am in the process of removing my y8 to replace it with a z6 cause I spun a rod bearing. Can someone link me to a site that has pics and instructions on how to remove the motor? Im sure its not to hard but something to get me on the right track on what to remove first, second, and so on. Ive never taken a motor out before so if someone has some info and a link with pics I would really appreciate the great help!
Thanks in advance,
Tim.

Disconnect (AND LABEL!!!) all Sensors and hoses
Remove axles
remove anything that is going to make the job harder (I pulled off my intake and exhaust manifolds to give me more room
Hook up the chain, pull all the bolts out of the mounts, and yank that sumbitch

RE: removing a d16z6/y8
I've checked it over and looks like it will be easy to get into all the mounts except for the front, upper drivers side mount and may have to remove a few things to get some wrenches in there. If Im not swapping a tranny at the same time do I still have to remove the axles and tranny? I wanna convert the car Im building now to a 5-speed with the tranny thats with the z6 motor but what else has to be changed to get the 5speed to work orther than the manual tranny? Sorry for asking all these questions but I figured it would be easier keeping it all in one thread then have 50 threads with different questions haha.
Thanks for the reply Forty04!
