Removing ac

RE: Removing ac
fast easy steps to take it off.
only the pump will be saved in this ok, so this is only advice for removal if you dont want any thing to be saved.besides the pump.
1) like some one said take it some where and get the freon removed from the car alot of places do this for free because the will reuse it is someone else car.
2) find the a/c belt cut it off, you dont need it.make sure its the a/c and not the power steering, if you have power steering.
3) there are 2 lines going into the top of the a/c pump. 10mm bolts hold them in place.
4. remove the a/c fan this is the one on the right hand side of the radiator, if your looking at it from the front, it can be kinda a pain in the what if you know what i mean.if its your first time.
5) there are 4 bolts that hold the a/c pump to the block these are 12mm, make sure whe you remove these make sure you do a top bolt last makes it easy to remove this way so the weight of the pump isnt pushing down on a bottom bolt.
only thing left is a little alumium canister siting under your washer bottle a few 10mm bolts hold it in, and then your, a/c radiator. either snap the lines at this point or you will have to remove your bumper to remove this item properly.
Hope this helps out some. good Luck
