Remove 91 Civic Passenger Seatbelt Chime
Okay, I have searched all over google in all of its gayness.
When someone opens my door when car is ON/Started a beep will go on, the beep is coming from up on the rear view mirror mounting position. The sound would be fine if the chime would go away but it stays on, forever, I am forced to turn the car off and restart in order to turn off chime.
I have no problem just popping it open and removing whatever is making chime but would also love to hear another option. Also I would like to know how to get it off. Last thing I wanna do is stick a screwdriver in and bust a clip.

No Kanarrjl that isn't the problem, I have been in many wrecks, never not wearing my seat belt. As soon as I enter my car I put my seatbelt on and make any passengers do the same. It isn't a natural seatbelt beep, there is something messed up and the beep stays on forever, whether seatbelt is on or off.
and no mk, they are seatbelts mounted on door, non automatic. [hatch]

dude, I feel you. I took mine OUT.
It takes a small flat head and being real careful to pull that top piece off. I took mine off twice, broke it the second time. If you break it, its like $5 at a pull a part < salavge yard>.
Then you'll take a philips and take out the three screws. You will then be able to drop your mirror and the cluster. When you drop the cluster, you will easily see where you can unplug the 2 wires. Then put it all back on. Done. No more ding. =)
