Default Regular vs. Impact Socket for Wheels

Hi,

I am trying to change my winter tires to all season, and was wondering whether I can use the regular chrome sockets to tighten the lug nuts with my torque wrench, or do I have to use impact sockets? I'm planning on using chrome DEEP sockets 19mm for my 97 civic at 80ft/lb torque.
Would chrome socket break?
I'm not using impact gun....just a 3/8" drive torque wrench, but I noticed most impact sockets don't come in 3/8" drive size, most of them are 1/2", that's why I was planning on using a chrome one.

Any insight would be appreciated.

The reason for impact sockets is for the violent thrashing of an impact gun and if you're not using an impact gun you shouldn't need an impact socket.

Unless you're using a cheap (very cheap) or defective socket, the chances are slim to nil.

You should not have any problem unless they are very very cheap sockets. If the socket is Craftsman or Duralast(Autozone brand) and you break it.....you can trade the pieces in for a new one.
