Default Rear Wheel not turning freely

A little while ago as I started driving my car I would hear this thud thud sound when I drove. Sounded like it was coming from one of my rear wheels. As I started moving relatively fast the sound went away, until I either turned or went slower again. So today I took my rear driver side wheel off and tried turning the hub. Well it turned, but I had to put considerable effort in to do so. In addition it always seemed as if it got stuck in the same spot. Any ideas what the problem could be? Brakes bearing etc? Thanks.

Your e-brake is sticking. Try WD-40 on the ebrake spring on the hub. or disc brake if u have rear disc. Mine did the same thing. Also, make sure your not riding around w/ur e-brake on.

Find two M8 bolts and screw them into the threaded holes in the drum, the ends of the bolts will force the drum away from the hub.

Edit to add: After you have the drum off, if you find the hub itself still doesn't turn freely there is a problem with the bearings, not the brakes.
