Default Re-torque a new head gasket ?

I forgot to adjust the valves when I put the new head gasket on, so I took it off after I torqued the bolts. Can I still use the head gasket even though it hasnt been fired up or anything, only torqued one time ?? Please help..

I would recommend just buying a new HG as they are made of layers which are technically crushed together to form the seal properly. Once they are "crushed", I feel like they cannot be used again.

You can try it, but if you start to overheat/burn coolant and all that jazz, expect to rip everything apart again to replace the HG.
