Radiator- which years work?
I'm not a honda guy (excluding old motorcycles ) and my girlfriend's civic has a long, nasty crack in the radiator. So, replacey replacey. Good thing it's the size of a 9 volt battery.
I'm going to hit the pick and pull for a replacement. It's a 97, so I'm guessing the 96-2000 ones should obviously fit. I recall a friend's 92 having a radiator of the same size in the same place. Will the previous gen's radiator fit? It's the bone standard 1.6, non VTEC (if that matters)
thanks in advance!

92-00 D series will be the same. Technically the 99-00 Civic SI's will work too, however, it will be a pain to fit the d series hoses onto the B series water necks on the radiator.
If she has an AT, make sure to get an AT radiator. If 5spd, then any rad will work.

Excellent news. That adds another 10 or so cars to the lot at pick and pull.
It's an A/T, so I'll look for one with the transmission cooler lines. I've never replaced an a/t cooler, is there anything special I need to do in regards to removing the lines? Will I have to top up the tranny fluid, or drain it altogether?

*update* wound up finding an automatic, previous-gen civic sitting in pristine condition at pick 'n pull. The radiator was an almost brand new, aftermarket one.
Pulled it out, everything matched. Though when I put the fan on, it didn't quite match at the bottom (it used a different screw at the bottom than what was stock)
So I just screwed it in at the top and zip-tied it to the bottom.
The guy at the cash register only charged me $15 "because that little thing is only half a radiator "
Though definitely clamping those hoses for the A/T line would have helped. Spilled a good bit of fluid.
All in all, new hoses, clamps, a gallon of antifreeze, and a basically new aftermarket radiator wound up costing $45.
Thanks for the tip cvcr99, that saved me a ton of trouble.
