radiator fan question....

so i think a large problem with my car overheating is the fan not coming on all the time....i hot wired from the battery and that works so i dont know whats making it not come on all the time....what all can i check or replace to get the fan to work???

well im pretty sure its that plug on the thermo housing cause we hotwired the relay and it came on so i think its the plug...at least i hope so...lol

ok i replaced it and the fan seems to be working now but its still getting hot and going all into the overflow tank so i have no damn idea right now what to check for next...anyone have any ideas???

Did you change your thermostats? You can remove it and try to run it without it.

i replaced the thermo about a month ago i think....i didnt know you could run it without it though,i have no idea what else it could be...this sucks....it keep boiling in the overflow tank and i dont know why.

is the fan suppose to stay on the whole time while im driving???

check ur thermostat and make sure itsfreeflowing.no the fan should not stay on the whole time, it comes on periodically while driving.

ok im thinking i MIGHT know something else it could be....does everyone have 2 seals on the rad cap or is it just the cap on the neck???...i mean like a seperate one that goes in the neck and then the cap on that one.

There are two pieces of rubber seals on rad cap.
