Default quick question

My cel came on a few months ago, and it's my cat. Before I go spending money on one, is the cat for my 2000 civic dx bolt on or otherwise?
Thanks

Where are you located? If in California, they have strict laws about this type of stuff, so we wouldn't want to give you the incorrect information.

If not in CA, you should be able to buy a $200 or so replacement on eBay with no problems. I helped my brother last year replace his in a 97 LX. Be prepped with PB blaster, extractor sockets, and replacement nuts/bolts. 11 or so year old exhaust equipment do not like to come free easily.

I live in TN, so no worries there. I just want to make sure I don't buy a bolt on and actually need a weld-on cat.

$200 is a lot to waste, ya know

its bolt on... check partstrain.com, they tend to be fairly cheap if you dont want to get one from ebay
