Default Question on 96 Civic Cluster swap???

Ok I have a 96 Civic CX without the tachometer and I am in the market for a new cluster.

I need to know if I can swap my cluster with a civic cluster that has a tachometer.

I have searched all over and some claim it can be done. They claim the civic came prewired for a tachometer.
I have taken the cluster out and I cant for the life of me find the extra connector that I have seen on tach clusters vs. non tach clusters.

Is it possible, or am I out of luck?

Any help would be appreciated.

There isn't an extra connector. One of the wires in one of those plugs is the tach wire, your cluster just doesn't use it. Plug the same harnesses into the new cluster with the tach and it will work.

well its not the tach, the tach wire is a blue wire with i THINK silver line around it that goes into the harness behind your engine temp gauge. Its already wired in there

The new Gauge Cluster works great. The spedometer works great, and the tachometer works.

Just wanted to update in case someone came across this in the future.
